Time Perceived by Donna Lässker
May 4 - May 24, 2018
Reception: May 4, 2018; 6 - 9pm
Painting tells me how I see the world or, at the very least, how I perceive the world.
A series of representational objects will speak of time and of people. These objects create a place – That place becomes the world of my painting, infused with texture, color and an ever-present reference to time, or lack of time.
My paintings are both internal narratives and observations that are told by their own elements. As the objects, textures, colors and presence of time become part of the narrative, they are no longer separate things, but they merge to take on a new, transformed narrative of their own.
