The TJAA is a community of Jewish artists, art professionals and art enthusiasts. We are an artist-run organization committed to foster art by Jewish artists, promoting dialogue about Jewish identity and related issues among members of the community. In order to nurture a vibrant and enduring Jewish identity, culture, and community, TJAA strives to engage Jewish and non-Jewish audiences as important collaborators in the development of a contemporary Jewish cultural exchange. Our goal is to foster artistic growth and camaraderie through informational and educational gatherings and exhibition opportunities.

Jan Ayers Friedman will present “Potential Becomes Reality – The TJAA’s Growing Role in Building Community in the Western Galilee” This is open to the public and free of charge.

Kenneth Craighead of Craighead Green Gallery in Dallas is the distinguished juror for this exhibition.

Juror statement: Thank you for the opportunity to juror this years exhibition. I am always flattered and at the same time humbled when asked to juror artist's work. There is nothing I enjoy more than looking at art! From my personal gallery experience I recognize that selections cannot be made solely on my personal preferences or taste but on quality, originality and execution of each piece individually. This is a fantastic body of work that was submitted and viewed. I Easily could have sent the email back and said that everyone is a winner but I also recognized that attention to "quantity" must also be addressed. What I enjoyed most was the range of work, not only in medium but also in level of skill. I hope that each artist will feel proud and continue on with their passion for the arts.
