The Fort Worth Community Arts Center is proud to announce a definitive show by the member galleries of the Fort Worth Art Dealers Association (FWADA). This vital organization of leading art galleries, museums, and area university galleries sponsors events such as Gallery Night in the spring and fall, awards student scholarships and supports area art competitions. In countless ways, FWADA educates the public, supports cultural activities, and presents the finest art on a consistent basis. Selections 2009, an exhibition rich with visual substance, will provide viewers with an opportunity to experience a variety of artists, media, and styles. This FWADA exhibition aims to raise the awareness of the extent of the visual arts in Fort Worth.
Getting Smart about Collecting Art
Panel Discussion: July 14, 2009; 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Fort Worth Art Dealers Association and the Fort Worth Community Arts Center will collaborate on a special event – a panel discussion moderated by Anne Allen and composed of art collectors, an art critic, an artist and an art educator. The objective of the panel is to offer the public an opportunity to gain insight about collecting art from people actively collecting and involved in the field of regional artists and beyond. The panel discussion is free and open to the public.

The exhibition will be on view at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. This exhibition is free and open to the public. Exhibition hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Fort Worth Community Arts Center, a City-owned facility, was established in October 2002 by the Fort Worth City Council. Information about the Art Center and opportunities for artists can be found on the website at:www.fwcac.org. The Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County manages the Arts Center. The FWCAC includes two theatres; nine art galleries; office space for arts organizations and public areas for rental by other non-profit organizations, private and corporate special events.
