About The Event

Nature, Art and Climate Change

Thursday, July 26 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm,

Artist Madeline Irvine and Dr. Robert Landolt will discuss climate change in conjunction with Buffer Zones, Irvine’s exhibition at the Fort Worth Community Art Center.

Irvine’s artist talk will discuss how nature has (and hasn’t) appeared in her work over time. In 2013, the ocean became the source of her artwork. Since then, climate change has rapidly transformed life in the buffer zones of the ocean – coral reefs, giant kelp forests and mangrove forests. Irvine will talk about how climate change relates to mangrove forests, the subject of Buffer Zones.
