Comfort in Color

by Sheila Hill

September 6 – 27, 2014

I have been creating comfort for others all my life.  The form of comfort shows itself in many different ways.  I've always delighted in creating the magic of Christmas in our home for my family to enjoy; making that delicious hot bowl of pasta for a cold rainy night, giving my garden color and life for every season, even winter!

Every time I start a new painting I want to bring that same comfort to you.  Through each brush stroke I will bring you the excitement I felt when that big pink box of donuts appeared on my doorstep the morning of my last birthday, to the love and hopeful future I feel each time I step into the garden that my 8 year old granddaughter and I have lovingly planted.

Welcome, let me comfort you. – Sheila Hill
