Michael Teasley studied art at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas, and the University of North Texas.Teasley has worked at the Cadell Foundry in Crossroads, Texas, since 1985. He is involved with every aspect of his bronze sculptures, from making the clay original, to mold making, to casting, to applying the final patina.

Both his cast bronzes and his fabricated steel sculptures are inspired by found objects, organic and man made. Teasley’s collection of bones, shells, fossils, and rocks inform the bronze works; the fabricated works are created from found objects gleaned from frequent trips to area salvage yards.
